Beth Connellan

  • Favourite Ballet: Swan Lake

  • Classes Taught: Intermediate, Intermediate Pointe

Beth has been teaching ballet at CUBC for four years and loves having the opportunity to teach dancers from all around the world who bring different styles and experiences to her classes. She completed her Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies with the Royal Academy of Dance in 2022, and now teaches ballet and contemporary at a variety of levels, from Pre Primary to advanced classes.

Before starting full-time training, Beth danced at Susan Robinson School of Ballet, where she achieved her Advanced 1 RAD ballet and had the opportunity to perform in the Dance Proms at the Royal Albert Hall and in Sleeping Beauty with La Scala Theatre Ballet at the Royal Opera House. She was also a dancer in Shift Youth Dance Company at The Place, and toured a piece choreographed by Theo Clinkard to theatres across the UK.

Beth trained at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, achieving a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance. As part of her training, she worked with a broad range of choreographers, including Sharon Watson, Charlie Morrisey, and Antonia Grove, performing in many venues across West Yorkshire. After graduating, she taught classes at the University of Leeds and choreographed for their shows and competition team. It was this experience that uncovered her passion for teaching and helping dancers discover their own connection with movement.
